AMARILLO – Polar Plunge is a fun event that will get supporters as cold as they can be in Texas! Special Olympics Texas supporters are taking the plunge in costume for Polar Plunge on December 5 at Amarillo Town Club, located at 4514 Cornell at 45th Street, to raise money for SOTX athletes! Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and jumpers will take the leap into the freezing water at 9:30 a.m. To participate, plungers must raise $25. Incentives are given to those who go above and beyond starting at $50. Prizes are awarded to those jumpers with the most money raised and best costume! If you aren’t prepared to “bear” the cold, for $50 sit in the chicken coop and watch others take the plunge!
